Telehealth counseling for adults in Kentucky with Christina F. Reed, LMFTA.

Graceful Self-Help Counseling, PLLC provides trauma-informed telehealth counseling for adults who have served in high-stress, high-responsibility roles, including military members, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, corrections officers, dispatchers, and other helping professionals.

These roles can involve chronic stress, trauma exposure, moral injury, grief, burnout, relationship strain, sleep disruption, emotional exhaustion, and the pressure to stay strong even when life feels heavy. Therapy offers a private space to slow down, process what you have carried, and begin rebuilding emotional steadiness.

Areas of Support

  • Stress, anxiety, and emotional overload
  • Trauma exposure and post-traumatic stress symptoms
  • Burnout and compassion fatigue
  • Grief, loss, and moral injury
  • Relationship and family stress
  • Life transitions, retirement, or reintegration after service
  • Identity shifts after leaving a role, unit, department, or career
  • Boundaries, coping skills, and nervous system regulation

My Approach

My counseling style is warm, grounded, trauma-informed, and practical. I understand that many military members, veterans, and first responders are used to pushing through pain, minimizing emotions, or carrying stress quietly because the job required it.

In therapy, the goal is not to force you to talk about anything before you are ready. Instead, we work at a pace that feels safe and manageable while building tools for emotional regulation, self-understanding, communication, and healing.

Telehealth Services

All sessions are currently provided through secure telehealth for adults located in Kentucky. Clients access appointments, paperwork, billing, and telehealth sessions through the secure TherapyNotes client portal.

For licensing purposes, clients must be physically located in Kentucky at the time of each session.

Future Interest: Equine-Assisted Counseling

Christina is also exploring future training in equine-assisted counseling services. Equine-assisted psychotherapy typically involves a licensed mental health professional working alongside a qualified equine specialist and trained horses in a safe, structured environment.

Equine-assisted services are not currently offered through Graceful Self-Help Counseling, PLLC. If added in the future, services will be provided only after appropriate training, supervision, consultation, liability coverage, informed consent, and site arrangements are in place.
