Fees & Good Faith Estimate
Telehealth counseling for adults in Kentucky with Christina Reed, LMFTA.
This page outlines the standard fees for services, as well as your rights to receive a Good Faith Estimate under federal law. All billing, payments, and receipts will be available through your secure TherapyNotes client portal once you are set up as an active client.
Session Fees
- Initial Intake Telehealth Session (60 minutes): $150
- Individual Telehealth Session (50–55 minutes): $130
These rates align with average private-pay therapy fees in the Lexington/Winchester/Richmond/Georgetown region ($120–$150 per session). Your exact fee will be reviewed with you before your first session and documented in your intake paperwork.
Support for Military, Veterans, and First Responders
I am honored to support those who serve our communities and country, including:
- Active-duty military and veterans
- Law enforcement officers
- Firefighters
- EMS and paramedics
- Corrections officers
- Dispatchers and emergency communications
Many individuals in these fields experience unique forms of stress, trauma exposure, moral injury, and high-intensity environments. My practice is trauma-informed, culturally aware, and deeply respectful of the realities you face on and off duty.
Insurance for These Populations:
- I do not bill insurance directly at this time.
- However, if you have out-of-network benefits through your military or first-responder insurance, I can provide a superbill you may submit for possible reimbursement.
- Reimbursement varies by plan and is not guaranteed.
- If billing or reimbursement is confusing, I am happy to walk you through what questions to ask your insurance provider so you can make an informed decision.
If cost is a concern, please feel comfortable asking about sliding-scale availability. I am committed to making care accessible for those who serve.
How Billing Works
Once you are an active client, you will receive access to a secure TherapyNotes client portal. Through this portal, you can:
- View and confirm upcoming appointments
- Make payments online securely
- Store a debit/credit card on file
- Access billing statements and receipts
- Download superbills for out-of-network reimbursement
- View your balance anytime
You will receive your portal link after completing your intake documents.
Insurance
I currently operate as a private-pay provider and do not bill insurance directly. If your plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can generate a superbill for you to submit. Reimbursement is dependent on your plan and cannot be guaranteed.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act (2022), clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs for therapy.
Your Good Faith Estimate will include:
- The fee for each service you receive
- The anticipated frequency of sessions
- An estimated total cost for 3–12 months of care
This estimate is not a contract. You may pause, stop, or change session frequency at any time. We will update the estimate as needed.
Sliding Scale
Limited reduced-fee or sliding-scale slots may be available based on financial need and scheduling capacity, particularly for military members, veterans, and first responders. Please ask if cost is a barrier.
If you have any questions about fees, billing, or insurance reimbursement, feel free to reach out through the Contact page.
*If you are in crisis, call 988, dial 911, or go to the nearest emergency room. Telehealth services do not include emergency or crisis care.
