Graceful Self-Help Counseling is currently in a pre-licensure transition phase. At this time, services are limited to educational resources, emotional wellness support, psychoeducation, and non-clinical coaching/support services until full LMFTA licensure is finalized in Kentucky. Independent clinical psychotherapy and counseling services will officially begin following active LMFTA licensure and supervisory approval.

Christina F. Reed, LMFTA
Marriage and Family Therapist Associate • Licensed School Guidance Counselor (KY)
Hi, I’m Christina. I provide telehealth counseling for adults throughout Kentucky. My work is grounded in compassion, emotional safety, authenticity, and the belief that healing becomes possible when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood.
My counseling style is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and down-to-earth. I pay close attention to both present struggles and the life experiences that shaped them. Together, we explore patterns that are no longer serving you while building healthier ways of relating to yourself, your emotions, and the people around you.
I believe therapy should feel human, emotionally safe, and practical, not cold or overly clinical. My goal is to create a space where clients feel supported while also gaining tools they can genuinely use in everyday life.
How I Work
- Telehealth-only counseling for adults located in Kentucky
- Trauma-informed and attachment-aware approach
- Emotionally safe, collaborative therapy environment
- Respect for your values, faith, culture, and lived experiences
- Practical coping tools and emotional regulation support
- Therapy paced in a way that feels safe and manageable
Professional Background
Before becoming an LMFTA, I spent years working in education, behavioral support, human services, and family systems settings. My background includes:
- Licensure as a School Guidance Counselor in Kentucky
- A background in Human Services and Public Administration
- Graduate-level clinical training in Marriage and Family Therapy
- Experience supporting individuals and families through stress, trauma, emotional overwhelm, grief, life transitions, and relational struggles
My experience in counseling, education, behavioral support, and case management shapes the way I show up as a therapist: relational, grounded, practical, and deeply committed to creating emotionally safe spaces for healing and growth.
Why I Do This Work
My path into counseling is deeply personal. Early life experiences taught me how powerful it can be to feel truly understood during difficult seasons of life. Those experiences, along with walking beside loved ones through unique challenges and adversity, shaped my passion for creating mental health spaces that feel compassionate, accessible, and genuine.
Today, Graceful Self-Help Counseling reflects the place where clinical training, lived experience, emotional insight, and human connection come together.
