About Christina Reed, LMFTA
Christina F. Reed, LMFTA
Marriage and Family Therapist Associate • Licensed School Guidance Counselor (KY)
Hi, I’m Christina. I provide telehealth counseling for adults in Kentucky. My work is grounded in compassion, clarity, and the belief that people can heal and grow when they feel safe, understood, and genuinely seen.
My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I pay close attention to both your current struggles and the experiences that shaped you. Together, we look at patterns that are no longer serving you and build new ways of relating to yourself and others.
How I Work
- Telehealth-only counseling for adults in Kentucky
- Trauma-informed, attachment-aware approach
- Respect for your values, faith, culture, and lived experience
- Collaborative goal setting at a pace that feels safe
- Practical tools you can actually use between sessions
Professional Background
Before becoming an LMFTA, I spent years working in education and human services. I hold:
- Licensure as a School Guidance Counselor in Kentucky
- A background in Human Services and Public Administration
- Graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy, with clinical experience supporting individuals and families through stress, trauma, transitions, and relational struggles
This combination of school-based experience, case management, and clinical training shapes the way I show up as a therapist: practical, relational, and deeply committed to creating safe, stable spaces for change.
Why I Do This Work
My path into counseling is personal. I grew up navigating my own experiences of adversity and trauma, and I know how powerful it can be to finally feel like someone truly “gets it.” Those early experiences, along with walking alongside loved ones with unique needs and challenges, shaped my passion for making mental health support more accessible, grace-filled, and real.
Today, Graceful Self-Help Counseling is the place where those threads come together: clinical training, lived experience, and a steady commitment to walking with people as they rebuild, reconnect, and move forward.
Resources for Helpers, Educators, and Counselors
