Important Notice:
Graceful Self-Help Counseling is currently in a pre-licensure transition phase. At this time, services are limited to educational resources, emotional wellness support, psychoeducation, and non-clinical coaching/support services until full LMFTA licensure is finalized in Kentucky. Independent clinical psychotherapy and counseling services will officially begin following active LMFTA licensure and supervisory approval.

Graceful Self-Help Counseling, PLLC provides trauma-informed telehealth counseling services for adults located within the state of Kentucky.

Therapy is offered through secure online sessions designed to support emotional healing, healthier relationships, self-understanding, and lasting personal growth.

Services are provided by Christina F. Reed, LMFTA, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate practicing under clinical supervision in Kentucky.

Individual Telehealth Counseling

Individual counseling provides a supportive and confidential space to explore emotions, patterns, relationships, stressors, and life experiences at your own pace.

Common areas of support may include:

  • Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
  • Burnout and emotional exhaustion
  • Life transitions and identity changes
  • Relationship and family challenges
  • Trauma and attachment wounds
  • Grief, loss, and emotional pain
  • People-pleasing and boundary difficulties
  • Self-worth and emotional regulation

Sessions are collaborative, client-centered, and tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Trauma-Informed Support

Many individuals carry emotional wounds from past experiences that continue to impact relationships, stress responses, self-worth, and daily functioning.

Therapy is approached through a trauma-informed lens that prioritizes emotional safety, compassion, nervous-system awareness, and gradual healing.

Together, we may work to:

  • Understand emotional patterns and triggers
  • Reduce shame and self-blame
  • Develop grounding and coping skills
  • Strengthen emotional regulation
  • Build healthier relationship patterns
  • Create greater internal stability and self-awareness

Military, Veterans & First Responder Support

Graceful Self-Help Counseling, PLLC also provides trauma-informed support for adults who have served in high-stress, high-responsibility roles, including military members, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, corrections officers, dispatchers, and other helping professionals.

These roles can involve chronic stress, trauma exposure, moral injury, grief, burnout, relationship strain, sleep disruption, and the pressure to keep functioning even when life feels heavy.

Counseling may support concerns such as:

  • Stress, anxiety, and emotional overload
  • Trauma exposure and post-traumatic stress symptoms
  • Burnout and compassion fatigue
  • Grief, loss, and moral injury
  • Relationship and family stress
  • Life transitions, retirement, or reintegration after service
  • Identity shifts after leaving a role, unit, department, or career
  • Boundaries, coping skills, and nervous-system regulation

The goal is not to force you to talk about anything before you are ready. Therapy is paced in a way that feels safe, respectful, and manageable.

Faith-Affirming Support (Optional)

For clients who desire it, therapy may include conversations surrounding faith, spirituality, values, and emotional healing.

This aspect of counseling is always client-led, approached respectfully, and never assumed or imposed.

Telehealth Counseling

All counseling sessions are conducted through secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth technology using the TherapyNotes Client Portal.

Clients may attend sessions from a private location using a phone, tablet, or computer with internet access.

For licensing compliance, clients must be physically located within the state of Kentucky during each session.

Future Interest: Equine-Assisted Counseling

Christina is also exploring future training in equine-assisted counseling services. Equine-assisted psychotherapy typically involves a licensed mental health professional working alongside a qualified equine specialist and trained horses in a safe, structured environment.

Equine-assisted services are not currently offered through Graceful Self-Help Counseling, PLLC. If added in the future, services will be provided only after appropriate training, supervision, consultation, liability coverage, informed consent, and site arrangements are in place.

Secure Client Portal Features

The secure client portal allows clients to:

  • Request or confirm appointments
  • Complete intake paperwork electronically
  • Access telehealth session links
  • Receive appointment reminders
  • Review invoices and billing information
  • Send secure messages when appropriate
